This is a a variation on a piece from last years tour. Did not like the previous top pipe but this one is much better scale.
Found Object Sculpture – More Retired Tools
Got busy this post Thanksgiving Day and finished up a number of works I had in progress. Going to show at Gallery 222 in their annual Holiday Group Show. Opens December 4th!
Apprentice – Found Object Sculpture
Made from serveral hole augers and some older harrow discs. Stands about 6.5 feet.
New Abstract – In Progress
I have had this around the shop for some time. I just started playing with it again and added the pipe to it. I really like the way it is going…. It might be done but I will stare at it for a while.
Regatta – Experiment with interesting plow parts
Made some simple bases for these plow parts so they would stand up. Looks like a boat race of sorts to me.
Three Olive Progress
Modified the stemware on the martini! Mostly finished with a few final welds to make and then I will figure out what I want to do for the final finish. I am thinking rust of course but I might get handy and lay down some paint.
Farmer 2
The latest farmer sculpture. A mix of truck springs, tractor seat, post hole digger parts and tiller blades. Will get a rubdown in butchers wax to give it a uniform patina suitable for indoors.
Bird Bath – Found Object
Great bird bath made from deep harrow disc and interesting column (maybe some sort of cultivator/seeder).

In ProgressOde to David Smith – Spays over Tools
I was intrigued by David Smith when he did similar spays over found objects. These are simple studies of black spray paint on paper towels. I used a variety of wrenches and plan to add more found objects to the process.
I will get in touch with some of my paint friends and get a better paper source. These images are 11″ x 5.5″
